Depth Charge President, Mister Wise and DJ Dialtone make up two thirds of the production company, Team Demo, but they began their professional music career in the early 90s as a duo known as the Lower Life Forms. “Circling the Drain” is the lead single from their forthcoming album, “A Journey Through the Anthropocene,” available later this Spring on Depth Charge Recordings. Team Demo “It’s a Demo” – Now Streaming
The new Team Demo produced compilation album, “It’s a Demo,” is now streaming on all platforms and the limited edition vinyl is available for purchase through Fat Beats. The project features contributions from a wide range of artists including Wais P, Planet Asia, Rome Streetz, Illa Ghee, Method Man and MC Eiht. In early 1999, DMV hip hop group, Team Demolition, filmed a video for their single, “Bloodshot Eyes.” Due to unforeseen circumstances, the video was never completed… Until 2023.

Depth Charge Studios is proud to present “The Essential Team Demo,” spotlighting the run of the DMV super group between 1996 and 2004. The collection features select re-mastered joints from all four 12 inch singles, both full length albums, and five previously unreleased tracks. “The Essential Team Demo,” available now on all streaming platforms.

Mister Wise of the Lower Life Forms Unboxes “The Whole Universe is Ours” Vinyl and CD Album
Depth Charge Studios in collaboration with Back 2 Da Source Records, is proud to announce the release of the Lower Life Forms “The Whole Universe Ours” album on limited edition vinyl and compact disc.
After the release of the Lower Life Forms debut 12 inch single, “Open Invitation/ Independence Day” in March of 1997 on Depth Charge Recordings, the Lower Life Forms planned to release the full album in August of that year, but the project was tabled to push singles with their crew, Team Demolition, as well as other Team Demo produced projects. The 12 inch single became a collector’s item but the album never made it outside the crew’s inner circle. Now this limited pressing is available to 90s underground hip hop enthusiasts. The album can also be streamed on all major platforms.
Here, Mister Wise (aka Zechariah Wise) unboxes his personal copies and holds the physical vinyl album for the first time.
We have been notified by the label that this album is completely sold out. Depth Charge does not offer physical copies in our store, but the album is available for digital download and can be streamed on all major platforms.
