Kingpen Slim has been a frequent client of Depth Charge Studios for almost two years. His 2009 street album, “The Beam Up,” was recorded almost entirely with us and the same holds true for his latest effort, “The Beam Up 2,” due out at the end of July 2010. Slim has just released “The Way You Move,” produced by our in-house production staff, Team Demo; featuring appearances by DMV heavyweights Wale and Phil Ade, as well as a verse from up and coming mc, STS. In early 2010, Depth Charge terminated it’s distribution deal with The Orchard and signed with Foundation Media. After months of Depth Charge’s back catalog being mysteriously unavailable on some of the world’s premier music sites, the titles have returned, beginning with iTunes. Available releases include 2004’s “Yo! TD Raps” by Team Demolition, 2003’s “The Veteran Advantage” by Zechariah Wise, 2003’s “The In Mc- Traveling Music” by Trickstar, and 2001’s “Demolition Derby- The Wreckoning” by Team Demolition. Kurious and Team Demo Reunite at Depth Charge

Team Demo and Kurious have been friends since the mid-90s and have collaborated on several projects including “Wake Up” on Kurious’ long-awaited second album “II” released in 2009. This time around, Kurious came to the DMV to work on his new album with Team Demo at Depth Charge Studios. The two day session was the first of what should be several in the process of completing a diverse set of records for the album.
